Soccer Class Coach

About This Role

Coach young children (18 months to 13 years old) in soccer, developing their skills and love for the game in a fun and energetic environment. Inspire confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship while tailoring sessions to age and ability.

Responsibilities

• Run fun and engaging soccer sessions using TOCA's curriculum, guiding children through drills and activities
• Organize playful games where kids can apply new skills while learning teamwork and sportsmanship
• Tailor each class to the kids' age and abilities, ensuring improvement and enjoyment
• Create a positive vibe to keep kids motivated and excited about soccer
• Keep parents informed with progress updates, ensuring everyone is part of the team’s success
• Ensure the field and equipment are safe and ready for use
• Follow all safety guidelines to protect and keep players happy
• Handle class rosters, attendance, and player evaluations
• Assist with additional program needs like setting up for the next class or organizing paperwork

Requirements

• Soccer experience (playing or coaching) and a passion for the game
• Love working with kids and helping them grow
• Availability to work afternoons, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to kneel, bend, reach, climb, and stand for long durations of time
• Ability to move and lift equipment and supplies of 30+ pounds
• Energy to stay active and lift equipment when needed

Qualifications

• Entry level

Nice to Have

• CPR and First Aid certification
