Provide safety leadership and technical support to field employees at a data center construction site. Advise on safety requirements, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide safety leadership and technical support to field employees, evaluating and reporting on safety performance
- Support safe work planning by advising operations and project managers on Company and contractual safety requirements
- Conduct new hire and site-specific safety orientations
- Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings as directed by management
- Review site safety plans, risk assessments, permits, MOPs, and related documentation, escalating concerns as needed
- Perform daily jobsite walks to conduct audits and inspections, identify hazards, and ensure safe work practices
- Respond to reports of incidents and safety concerns, and participate in investigations with senior safety leadership
- Ensure compliance with Company policies, OSHA, and applicable regulatory standards, maintaining required safety documentation
- Collaborate regularly with foremen, superintendents, and client safety personnel to identify and resolve safety issues
- Utilize Company safety systems and software to track incidents, inspections, and corrective actions
Requirements
- 3-5 years recent experience in construction safety or a related role
- Proficient understanding of construction processes and safety regulations
- Strong computer and communication skills
- Ability to maintain driving qualifications as required per IES Fleet Safety Program
- Successfully pass pre-employment (post-offer) background check and MVR check
Qualifications
- Education and/or training in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- 3-5 years recent experience in construction safety or a related role
