Site Civil Engineer

About This Role

Join a Site Development team as an innovative Civil Engineer, creating engineering and construction plans for various development projects. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing project objectives, and client needs.

Responsibilities

• Produce private/public site work & civil engineering construction plans, reports, and studies for various projects
• Oversee daily operations and deliverables for projects
• Achieve project objectives by managing CAD Designers and junior team members
• Manage client needs, project scopes, budgets, support personnel, and schedule
• Manage consultants for design efforts
• Review and summarize environmental, geotechnical, traffic, and other essential reports for design implementation
• Attend meetings with clients and consultants to understand project needs and issues, as well as present proposed solutions and design approaches
• Perform construction administration management for submittals, RFI’s, and site visits with direct Contractor communication and field problem-solving capabilities
• Comply and enforce QA/QC procedures for every phase of the project
• Engage in business development activities and assignments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• 4+ years of experience for site development civil engineering projects
• Texas PE Required
• Experience with local jurisdictional governments related to design criteria and permitting (City of Houston, Harris County, TxDOT, Ft Bend County, etc.)
