Design and implement Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms in software and hardware (FPGAs) for high-throughput signals exploitation, focusing on low signal-to-noise ratio and adaptive modulations. Develop and modify existing software and firmware to meet federal government needs for COTS and GOTS products, supporting national security objectives.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms in software and hardware, specifically Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs)
- Develop algorithms focused on high throughput exploitation of signals, with an emphasis on low signal to noise ratio, higher-order, and/or adaptive modulations
- Conduct necessary modifications to existing software and/or firmware to adapt COTS and GOTS products to meet special Government needs
- Provide concise explanations of developed models to allow other team members to understand and utilize models or algorithms for processing signals of interest
- Act as technology expert, directing implementation of sub-modules necessary for processing signals of interest
- Develop novel approaches for utilizing COTS and GOTS systems for creating processing solutions outside the intended use
- Design and implement software models, in MATLAB or other similar design suite, to process signals of interest
- Implement software modules necessary for processing signals of interest
- Provide analysis of module/model output from signals of interest to allow creation of follow-on processes
Requirements
- TS/SCI with agency appropriate polygraph
- Ten (10) years experience as a DSP Algorithm developer
- United States Citizenship
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university
- Ten (10) years experience as a DSP Algorithm developer is required. Five (5) years of additional DSP experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
