About This Role

Supervise and coach a team of Shred Drivers, ensuring exceptional customer service and timely document destruction. This role involves monitoring team performance, managing logistics, and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision, coaching, and training for Shred team members
  • Serve as the first escalation point for issues, involving the manager as needed
  • Monitor team coverage, approve personal time off, and redistribute work
  • Monitor staffing and equipment needs
  • Conduct performance reviews and make compensation recommendations
  • Review daily route schedules, confirm scheduling calls, and change route plans
  • Lead daily morning meetings with drivers
  • Ensure timely start and stop times for drivers
  • Respond to questions from Shred Delivery Drivers and clients
  • Deliver bins to client sites as needed
  • Maintain shred truck repair logs
  • Perform document destruction using mobile shredding equipment and obtain electronic client signatures
  • Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform mandated daily safety and maintenance checks on truck and shredder equipment
  • Adhere to shred team schedule, including working up to eight weekends per year for special client events
  • Accurately maintain and comply with documentation and administrative procedures
  • Maintain and file driver information for DOT and NAID onsite inspections

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of delivery driver experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Acceptable driving record
  • DOT certification
  • NAID certification driver requirements
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications, including Outlook
  • Attention to detail
  • Effective organizational and time/task management skills
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and operate with changing priorities
  • Strong ability to exercise independent judgment
  • Self-starter with ability to perform with little or no direct supervision
  • Superior in-person customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, client-oriented team
  • Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly

Qualifications

  • An associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of delivery driver experience. Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.
