The Sewing Technician I is responsible for the safe and timely execution of duties to produce high-quality beds, operating various sewing machines and auxiliary equipment. This role ensures customer satisfaction by manufacturing products to specification.
Responsibilities
- Perform efficiently on 1-5 sewing operations up to one specified area, per Work Instructions, on commercial-grade sewing equipment
- Perform basic machine set up for daily operation using provided Work Instructions
- Strive to meet hourly production goals
- Apply Safe Work Practices, including wearing PPE
- Perform TPMs and light maintenance on sewing and/or auxiliary machines
- Make minor machine adjustments and needle/tooling changes
- Recognize quality errors or nonconforming conditions with product or process and escalate appropriately
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, clear of clutter and debris
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
Nice to Have
- Experience in the manufacturing textile and/or sewing environment
