This role involves providing expert-level technical leadership for ServiceNow platforms, focusing on design, implementation, configuration, and sustainment within secure federal environments. The ServiceNow SME will ensure compliance with federal frameworks and integrate various systems to deliver robust solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and document ServiceNow system architecture, ensuring DoDAF/FEAF compliance, and producing as-is, to-be, and transition state architectures.
- Architect, implement, and document secure ServiceNow solutions on Nutanix infrastructure, integrating with Active Directory, YubiKey, and other authentication systems.
- Configure and optimize ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, SecOps, ITAM), establish role-based access controls, and prepare client-ready environments.
- Develop and execute data migration strategies, including transformation mapping, ETL processes, and validation using ServiceNow CMDB Health dashboards.
- Integrate ServiceNow with third-party solutions (e.g., Tanium, Splunk), configure connectors, manage data imports, and ensure federal logging and monitoring compliance.
- Collaborate with solution center teams and government stakeholders to align technical deliverables, report risks, and drive continuous improvement via Agile reviews.
- Support O&M operations post-deployment, including configuration updates, health monitoring, instance patching, and iterative enhancements.
- Assist with stakeholder training, user adoption efforts, and system acceptance testing.
- Produce technical documentation and reports for each project phase and deliverable.
Requirements
- 8+ years hands-on experience with ServiceNow implementation, configuration, and sustainment in secure government environments
- Demonstrated expertise with ServiceNow module configuration, system integrations, and large-scale data migrations.
- Experience implementing role-based access controls and managing authentication integration (e.g., Active Directory, MFA, YubiKey).
- Strong background in ITSM/ITIL methodology and agile/hybrid delivery models.
- Proven ability to produce technical architecture documentation in accordance with federal frameworks (DoDAF/FEAF).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience leading technical discussions and stakeholder briefings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years hands-on experience with ServiceNow implementation, configuration, and sustainment in secure government environments
