About This Role

Provide exceptional table service to residents, guests, and employees in a senior living community dining room. This role ensures proper dining setup, meal service, and fosters a pleasant dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute proper dining set-up and fold dining room linens
• Provide meal, dining, and table services to residents, guests, and staff
• Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service
• Inform diners and answer questions about posted daily specials
• Write orders on checks and utilize the POS (full Count) system
• Relay orders to the kitchen and serve beverages and courses from kitchen or buffet station
• Pace course delivery and sequence according to established procedures
• Serve water and other beverages, ensuring refreshments are provided throughout the meal service
• Clear and reset counters and/or tables at the conclusion of each course
• Assist in keeping tables, chairs, floors, linens, and serving stations clean, bussed, and stocked

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent
• Effective communication (read, write, speak English)
• Ability to follow production and preparation sheets
• Required food handlers certifications
• Understand food measurements and equivalents
• Willingness to work and interact with active/senior adults
• Ability to work weekends

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent (GED is accepted)
