Senior User Interface Engineer

About This Role

This role is for a Senior User Interface Engineer to join Fidelity's Design System delivery squad, where you will develop and maintain web components, influence product strategy, and spearhead innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain libraries of web components and supporting utilities used throughout the enterprise
• Support teams adopting and integrating with the Fidelity Design System
• Execute the full software life-cycle development process from architecture to maintenance
• Utilize technical aptitudes and domain expertise to develop innovative solutions
• Build a strategy to re-invent systems and tools to create a continuous cycle of Innovation
• Develop prototypes and spearhead solutions using an MVP, iterative approach
• Build software that is simple and universally understood

Requirements

• 5+ years experience engineering enterprise-scale, web enabled applications
• Web development experience with HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks
• Extensive experience working with JavaScript/TypeScript
• Good knowledge of engineering and continuous integration and delivery CI/CD practices
• Strong commitment to delivering quality code through unit, integration, and automation testing
• Understanding of well architected framework implementation in Enterprises: Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance efficiency and Cost optimization
• Angular Javascript Lit3 CSS, HTML

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science
• 5+ years experience engineering enterprise-scale, web enabled applications

Nice to Have

• Worked on a design system team
• Managed or maintained a component library
• Visual Regression testing
• Experience developing single-page applications using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, and Vue
• Expertise with test automation tools and frameworks e.g. Cypress, Playwright, Jest and Storybook
