Senior Sales Engineer - Technical

About This Role

Plan and execute sales and marketing efforts for electrical transmission and distribution services, acting as a technical expert and mentor for junior sales personnel. This role is responsible for a geographical area that may include multiple service centers.

Responsibilities

• Perform sales support to consistently meet overall area sales goals
• Make regular sales calls on existing major accounts and establish contact with new accounts
• Make effective customer presentations, ensuring accurate and technically correct proposal pricing
• Develop new accounts, sell national accounts, and make sales calls at the VP level
• Implement area-marketing plan on a monthly basis
• Assist Corporate needs in new service assessments, marketing research, and literature development
• Actively participate in trade shows and professional societies
• Give effective group presentations for both internal and external customers
• Act as mentor and trainer to new sales associates in Company sales fundamentals
• Develop and deliver technical, sales skills, walk-through, drawing take-off, and proposal development training to new sales associates

Requirements

• Graduate engineer (BSEE/BSME) or equivalent technical background with relevant experience
• Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and some overnight travel
• Ability to conduct walk-throughs of construction sites and work near electrical equipment
• Valid Driver’s License

Qualifications

• Graduate engineer (BSEE/BSME) OR electrical technical school graduate with 5 years experience OR High school diploma with 8 years experience
• Graduate engineer (BSEE/BSME) with no experience; or electrical technical school graduate with 5 years experience; or high school diploma with 8 years experience.
