About This Role

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer ensures the quality, reliability, and security of enterprise applications and services by partnering with cross-functional teams to integrate shift-left testing and test automation into the development lifecycle. This role designs and executes test strategies, drives automation, and fosters a quality-first culture.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute manual and automated tests using modern frameworks and cloud-based platforms
  • Review and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and UX/UI prototypes for clarity and testability
  • Develop and maintain lean, risk-based test strategies aligned with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps principles
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and advocate for quality-first practices
  • Perform functional, end-to-end, and integration testing across web, mobile, API, and microservices layers
  • Maintain and enhance Cypress automated test suites, leveraging parallel execution and cloud grids
  • Manage the bug lifecycle, ensuring timely triage, resolution, and root cause analysis
  • Configure, monitor, and optimize test environments, including containerized and virtualized setups
  • Drive initiatives introducing AI-powered test generation, predictive analytics, and observability tools
  • Act as a subject matter expert for business processes and quality standards

Requirements

  • 6+ years of QA experience in Agile, cloud-native, and story-driven environments
  • Expertise in test automation frameworks (Cypress) and tools (xRay, Azure DevOps, Jira)
  • Proficiency with API testing (Postman, Swagger), cross-browser/device testing (BrowserStack)
  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong knowledge of security testing principles and data privacy regulations
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of QA experience in Agile, cloud-native, and story-driven environments

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools
  • Familiarity with observability platforms (Azure, Datadog)
  • Familiarity with performance testing (e.g., JMeter)
  • Experience with accessibility compliance (WCAG)
  • Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce)
  • Exposure to AWS, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and SaaS environments
  • Experience with the U.S. insurance market
