Senior Project Manager - Kahua PMIS

About This Role

This Project Manager will lead the design, development, and implementation of the Port Authority’s new Project Management Information System (PMIS), powered by the Kahua platform. The role involves overseeing the full project lifecycle, ensuring the system meets operational needs and aligns with enterprise technology standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of the new Project Delivery System (PDS) using the Kahua PMIS platform
• Manage cross-functional technical teams, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery
• Coordinate project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards
• Oversee requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, and deployment activities
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams, translating business needs into functional specifications
• Provide executive-level reporting on project status, risks, and performance metrics
• Ensure system integrations align with enterprise architecture and data management protocols
• Promote process improvement and technology adoption across Engineering Operations and related departments

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• PMP certification
• 15+ years of experience managing the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-level IT, hardware, or software systems
• Proven experience delivering complex technology programs for large public transportation or infrastructure organizations
• Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, system integrations, and multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong background in requirements gathering, testing, and deployment of large-scale enterprise systems or PMIS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 15 years experience managing the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-level IT, hardware, or software systems

• Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Agile certification
• Scrum certification
• ITIL certification
• Prior experience implementing or managing systems built on the Kahua PMIS platform
• Experience working with Port Authority systems and project delivery frameworks
