Senior Project Manager, Architecture

About This Role

Manage the architectural scope and execution of multiple U.S. data center projects from concept to construction and handover. This role supports the continuous improvement of data center architectural standards and coordinates architectural workstreams across multi-discipline teams to ensure high-density AI infrastructure needs are met. This position will support site acquisition and colocation leasing.

Responsibilities

• Manage architectural scope and execution across multiple U.S. data center projects
• Support the development and continuous improvement of Nscale’s data center architectural basis of design standards
• Coordinate architectural workstreams across multi-discipline teams
• Drive schedule, deliverables, quality, and decision-making across internal stakeholders and external A/E partners
• Support architectural due diligence for potential greenfield, brownfield, and colocation opportunities
• Manage concept, schematic, and detailed design phases for new builds and expansions
• Own the architecture portion of the design concepts, deliverable tracking, and issue resolution
• Coordinate program requirements, space planning, and room adjacencies with internal stakeholders
• Lead design coordination with A/E partners and ensure alignment across disciplines in BIM/clash coordination workflows
• Review drawings and specifications for completeness, constructability, maintainability, and compliance with applicable codes and standards

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing design and delivery for mission-critical facilities, with significant time on data centers (CSA/architecture scope)
• Proven experience coordinating external A/E firms and driving drawing/spec deliverables from concept through construction documents
• Working knowledge of core data center architectural drivers: space planning, maintainability/access, constructability, and life safety coordination
• Experience working with U.S. AHJs and navigating local code environments
• Strong project management skills: schedule control, risk tracking, scope management, and stakeholder communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience managing design and delivery for mission-critical facilities, with significant time on data centers (CSA/architecture scope)
