About This Role

This role supports complex government contracts, handling financial planning, compliance, and execution for defense and government programs from proposal through closeout in a remote setting. The Senior Program Financial Analyst acts as a strategic financial partner to Program Management, Contracts, and Accounting teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis for assigned programs
  • Develop and maintain program budgets, Estimates at Completion (EACs), and revenue forecasts
  • Conduct monthly financial reviews with Program Managers, identifying risks, opportunities, and corrective actions
  • Prepare and analyze cost, schedule, and performance metrics
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, and internal accounting policies
  • Support revenue recognition, cost allocation, indirect rate application, and project setup per contract terms
  • Partner with Accounting on month end close, billing, and reconciliation of program financials
  • Support incurred cost submissions and audit activities including DCAA, DCMA, and internal audits
  • Provide financial oversight for Cost Plus, Time and Materials, and Fixed Price contracts
  • Monitor contract funding, ceilings, burn rates, and fee or profit recognition

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in government contracting with progressive responsibility in program finance or project accounting
  • Strong working knowledge of FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements
  • Hands on experience supporting Cost Reimbursable, Time and Materials, and Fixed Price contracts
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Deltek Costpoint, SAP, Oracle, or similar
  • Proven ability to communicate complex financial data to non financial stakeholders
  • Must be a United States citizen

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in government contracting with progressive responsibility in program finance or project accounting
