About This Role

This Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) role involves scientifically engaging with key opinion leaders in the oncology hematology space to support the development and life-cycle management of Takeda Oncology medicines. The position focuses on providing accurate, scientific, and non-promotional information exchange in the Southern California and Nevada territory.

Responsibilities

  • Apply subject matter knowledge and adaptive communication skills to support medical strategies for Takeda compounds in hematology
  • Address unsolicited requests for medical information from external stakeholders including healthcare providers and clinical investigators
  • Develop and leverage thought leader relationships to meet strategic needs of US Medical Affairs
  • Provide medical insights and intelligence from the field to support Takeda Oncology compound development and life-cycle management
  • Participate in, lead, and contribute to projects and initiatives within a matrix environment to increase productivity of US Medical Affairs Oncology (USMAO)
  • Establish relationships and engage in peer-to-peer scientific discussions on emerging data, treatment guidelines, and Takeda Oncology products
  • Formulate and update a specific territory engagement plan aligned with US Field Medical priorities and objectives
  • Regularly collect medical insights and intelligence from scientific exchange with HCPs and the medical community
  • Respond to unsolicited inquiries consistent with field medical SOP
  • Support Takeda Oncology sponsored research and identify/screen qualified research sites for clinical investigation

Requirements

  • Advanced scientific or healthcare degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, RN, NP or DMP/ARNP)
  • 3-5 years of healthcare, clinical, or related experience
  • Experience in Oncology
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written
  • Versed in technical and scientific languages

Qualifications

  • Advanced scientific or healthcare degree required; doctoral degree preferred. (Health sciences advanced or doctoral degree, such as a PharmD, PhD, MD, RN, NP or DMP/ARNP, etc.)
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of healthcare, clinical, or related experience (residencies, post-doc fellowship, managed markets, clinical practice, research or academic) is required.
