As a Senior Mechanical Engineering Designer, you will design and draft mechanical engineering projects for the Architecture and Engineering business unit, focusing on HVAC, plumbing/piping, refrigeration, fire protection, and fuel systems. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and produce mechanical engineering construction documents.
Responsibilities
- Design full site plans
- Resolve complex design issues with limited direction
- Conduct site feasibility research and site visit investigations
- Generate reports and recommendations based on findings
- Coordinate with sub-consultants
- Assist in maintaining task budgets
- Coordinate and assist with addendums, RFIs, and change orders
- Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project
- Assist managers with the project approval process
Requirements
- 4-8 years of experience with general building mechanical production
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency in Revit
- Proficiency in MS Office
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 4-8 years of experience with general building mechanical production, preferably with commercial projects such as retail or restaurants
Nice to Have
- Commercial projects experience (retail or restaurants)
- E.I.T. certification
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
