This role supports and executes mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, as well as IPO-related transactions. It involves managing workstreams like valuation, financial modeling, and diligence coordination for a global manufacturing company.
Responsibilities
- Support and execute mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, minority investments, and IPO-related transactions
- Own defined transaction workstreams including valuation, financial modeling, and diligence coordination
- Support IPO execution activities, including IPO readiness analysis and regulatory filing preparation
- Coordinate comprehensive due diligence across financial, legal, regulatory, operational, tax, and ESG workstreams
- Prepare transaction analyses, financial models, investment memoranda, and presentation materials for senior management
- Coordinate with and support the management of external advisors
- Support portfolio-related transactions like carve-outs, restructurings, and exits
- Assist in transaction-related integration and separation planning
- Track post-close execution milestones, synergy initiatives, and key deliverables
- Manage deal execution, providing centralized governance and coordination to keep teams on track
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
- 6–10+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or strategy consulting with strong transaction exposure
- Hands-on experience supporting complex M&A and divestiture transactions
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of public market dynamics, valuation drivers, and shareholder value creation
- Solid understanding of end-to-end transaction processes and documentation
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail
- Clear, structured communicator able to synthesize complex information
- Strong presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage and appropriately prioritize multiple projects and initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
- 6–10+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or strategy consulting with strong transaction exposure, hands-on experience supporting complex M&A and divestiture transactions
Nice to Have
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree
- Exposure to IPOs, carve-outs, or spin-offs
- Experience operating in large, global, matrixed organizations or advising them
- Prior experience interacting with senior executives
