Senior Manager, Internal Communications

About This Role

Develop and lead the internal communications strategy for fairlife, a Chicago-based nutrition company, aligning messaging with business objectives and enhancing employee engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a short and long-term enterprise-wide internal communications strategy aligned with fairlife's business objectives, mission, culture, and values
• Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership on internal messaging, change communications, and employee engagement initiatives
• Oversee day-to-day employee communications, including leadership messages, company updates, and major milestones
• Ensure fairlife's messaging is clear, consistent, timely, and tailored to diverse employee audiences
• Streamline and strengthen communications with and to fairlife's plant locations, ensuring two-way communication
• Partner closely with Operations, Plant Leadership, HR, and Safety teams to create clear, actionable communications
• Lead internal employer branding efforts, ensuring employees understand and authentically represent fairlife's culture
• Own the strategy, governance, and roadmap for internal communication channels
• Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of internal communications efforts
• Use data, insights, and employee feedback to refine strategies and demonstrate impact

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in internal/enterprise, brand communications, corporate communications or public relations
• Focus on the food and beverage industry
• Proven experience supporting both corporate and frontline or manufacturing/plant-based employee populations
• Strong strategic thinking skills
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling capabilities
• Experience leading intranet strategy and managing multiple internal communication channels
• Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with increased responsibility in internal/enterprise, brand communications, corporate communications or public relations

Nice to Have

• CPG experience
• Familiarity with change management and transformation communications
• Knowledge of internal communications measurement and analytics tools
