About This Role

Serve as a journey-level Senior Maintenance Worker, responsible for complex cleaning and maintenance tasks of city streets, parks, and facilities. This role involves providing hands-on training to junior staff, delegating work, and ensuring safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Operate various sizes and types of trucks and trailers to move equipment and materials
  • Perform a variety of heavy manual labor tasks
  • Cross-train and oversee 2-3 Maintenance Workers
  • Assist Crew Leader with employee performance evaluations
  • Assure that supplies, tools, equipment, and staff are ready at the start of shift
  • Monitor work site to assure that safety rules and regulations are followed
  • Complete work order requests
  • Work standby on a rotational shift, and may also be required to work evenings, weekends, and/or holidays

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in construction maintenance work or related labor or skilled work
  • Completion of high school or GED
  • Possession of a valid California Class C Motor Vehicle Operator’s License
  • Ability to obtain a valid Class B California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License within 12 months

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years of experience in construction maintenance work or related labor or skilled work
