About This Role

This role is for a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy, specializing in Paediatrics and Disability, at UniSC Sunshine Coast. The lecturer will lead and contribute to the development and delivery of contemporary physiotherapy education, focusing on curriculum design, course coordination, and teaching within the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) program.

Responsibilities

  • Provide academic leadership and deliver high-quality teaching in paediatric and disability physiotherapy
  • Engage in curriculum development and course coordination
  • Build and maintain strategic clinical and industry partnerships to support work-integrated learning
  • Lead and contribute to research activity in paediatrics and disability
  • Supervise Honours and higher degree research students
  • Ensure graduate readiness for contemporary practice in paediatric and disability
  • Collaborate with industry partners to enhance student learning and employability

Requirements

  • Unrestricted current registration to practice physiotherapy in Australia
  • A minimum of five years' clinical experience in paediatric physiotherapy including disability practice
  • Five years' academic experience teaching paediatric and disability content in an accredited program
  • A doctoral qualification in a relevant field or equivalent accreditation and standing
  • Demonstrated effectiveness as a teacher with evidence of curriculum development, course coordination, and student outcomes
  • Evidence of research experience, including publications, research collaboration, and supervision of Honours and HDR candidates

Qualifications

  • A doctoral qualification in a relevant field or equivalent accreditation and standing
  • A minimum of five years' clinical experience in paediatric physiotherapy including disability practice, and five years' academic experience teaching paediatric and disability content in an accredited program

Nice to Have

  • Postgraduate training or coursework qualification relevant to paediatrics and/or disability
  • Experience working across acute, rehabilitation, and community-based settings with children and clients with disability
  • Experience as a clinical educator/supervisor in paediatric and disability physiotherapy
