Senior Java Solution Architect

About This Role

Drive the technical strategy, architecture, and delivery of complex, multi-cloud solutions for enterprise digital platforms within the automotive finance domain, leveraging deep expertise in Java and DevOps practices. This role demands a visionary leader who can combine architectural excellence, stakeholder collaboration, and hands-on technical delivery across hybrid teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect Microservices Solutions leveraging Spring Boot and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles
• Apply DDD methodologies to model complex business domains
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams on microservices development
• Architect and oversee delivery of comprehensive digital solutions across web and mobile platforms
• Design RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations for microservices
• Enhance microservices performance and resilience by implementing caching, circuit breakers, load balancing
• Define and enforce robust security standards for microservices, including OAuth2, JWT
• Partner with DevOps teams to automate build, test, and deployment pipelines
• Establish and uphold coding standards, conduct thorough code reviews, and champion clean code
• Implement comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alerting frameworks
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders
• Maintain detailed architectural documentation, including service contracts, domain models, deployment diagrams
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and Domain-Driven Design

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in software architecture and solution design
• Proven track record delivering large-scale, cloud-native solutions
• Expertise designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and leading DevOps adoption in regulated environments
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
• Experience working in regulated industries with a focus on compliance, data protection, and auditability
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Proven ability to lead agile, hybrid delivery models and collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams
• Solid expertise in open-source technology stacks and web/API security
• Strong background in enterprise digital applications, micro front-end strategies, and open microservice architectures
• Proficient in RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and integrating front-end components with backend services
• Extensive experience with software engineering best practices
• Deep proficiency in Java and Spring Boot development

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in software architecture and solution design, preferably within financial services, banking, or automotive finance sectors.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with enterprise financial systems (loan servicing, origination, collections, billing)
• Hands-on experience with microservices, API-first design, and integration middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, Apigee)
• Knowledge of metrics-driven performance evaluation and DevOps maturity frameworks
• General understanding of web development best practices including accessibility, performance optimization, SEO, and production monitoring
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React and React Native
