Senior Java Developer with AWS

About This Role

This role is for an experienced Senior Java Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications with strong AWS cloud expertise. The position requires hands-on experience in Java-based backend development, microservices architecture, and cloud-native solutions on AWS, involving collaboration with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance, scalable backend systems
• Build and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS
• Develop RESTful services and integrate third-party systems
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java development
• Strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, RESTful APIs
• Experience building Microservices architecture
• Solid experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)
• Proficiency in Git and Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java development

Nice to Have

• Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka/SQS/SNS)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
• Exposure to frontend technologies (Angular/React)
