Senior Industrial Engineer

About This Role

This role is responsible for optimising warehouse operations through facility layout design, process improvements, and automation solutions. The Senior Industrial Engineer will lead technical discussions and mentor junior engineers, ensuring smooth operations and improved productivity for clients.

Responsibilities

• Identify facility layout design and personnel requirements for smooth operations
• Improve productivities of all processes and operators
• Plan daily operations to budget using efficiency standards
• Develop and update work instructions as processes improve
• Develop production time studies, head count analyses, downtime analyses, efficiency improvement plans, warehouse slotting and SKU velocity analyses
• Identify bottlenecks and improve site flow while creating and maintaining optimum warehouse operations
• Assist pricing and solutions teams in providing operational cost and other key info needed for RFP’s
• Track KPIs and develop basic analytics for all operational metrics
• Work with vendors to identify operational equipment and automation solutions
• Develop and manage project plans for major improvement activities
• Support the maintenance department by developing lists of critical spare parts, min/max tracker
• Track daily P&L

Requirements

• 2 years of experience as a Process Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Logistics Engineer or related occupation in supply chain or a distribution environment
• Lean methodology
• Six Sigma practices and principles
• Supply chain warehousing
• Warehouse Management Systems
• Project Resource Management
• Warehouse automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related degree
• 2 years of experience as a Process Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Logistics Engineer or related occupation in supply chain or a distribution environment, with 2 years of experience in Lean methodology, Six Sigma practices and principles, supply chain warehousing, Warehouse Management Systems, Project Resource Management, and Warehouse automation
