About This Role

Lead complex client engagements and guide teams in developing innovative health and benefits design and renewal strategies for mid-market to large employers. This role involves building strong client relationships and providing high-level financial analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex client engagements, managing scope, quality, timeliness, and budget across various benefit plans (medical, pharmacy, dental, vision, life, disability).
  • Guide teams in researching, analyzing, and evaluating benefit programs to develop innovative design and renewal strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and delivering strategic recommendations.
  • Provide high-level financial, contractual, and administrative analysis, including reviewing RFPs and preparing executive summary reports.
  • Delegate, mentor, and review work of junior staff, offering guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with key client stakeholders to identify business growth opportunities.
  • Assist in the development of sophisticated benefits design and renewal strategies.
  • Utilize strong financial acumen and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and modeling.
  • Negotiate with benefits carriers and vendors to secure optimal health and welfare plan coverage.
  • Accountable for project success in terms of scope, budget, timeliness, and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree
  • 4+ years of experience in health and benefits consulting
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree
  • 4+ years of experience identifying, designing, recommending, and implementing innovative business solutions for complex health care benefit plans.

  • Well-developed skills in strategic planning, communication, and active listening
  • Proven management experience leading large, complex projects
  • Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships
