As a Senior Field Applications Engineer, you will be the technical lead for the sales organization in the Western US region, guiding customers to optimize their product implementations.
Responsibilities
- Help other engineers achieve maximum performance and benefit from our products
- Guide customers in choosing the right products
- Help customers with optimizing product implementation
- Perform detailed bench work to breadboard and test solutions for customers
- Interface with customers on the telephone
- Present product benefits to large and small groups
Requirements
- BSEE or equivalent
- 5+ years experience in a sales engineering role
- AC-DC Power Conversion design experience
- Demonstrated magnetics design experience
- Working knowledge of EMI and Safety standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and willingness to interface with customers on the telephone
- Ability to present product benefits to large and small groups
- Strong analytical and laboratory skills
Qualifications
- BSEE or equivalent; MSEE or equivalent preferred
- 5+ years experience in a sales engineering role
Nice to Have
- MSEE or equivalent
- Experience in one of the following end markets: UPS, Solid State Lighting, Metering, Appliances, Cell Phone chargers, Industrial controls, Notebook or PC Power Supplies
- Prior experience as an FAE for semiconductor products used in power conversion applications
