As a Senior Field Applications Engineer, you will provide technical leadership for the North American Sales team, helping customers optimize our products for maximum performance in power conversion applications and providing guidance in product selection and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Help engineers achieve maximum performance and benefit from our products
- Provide guidance choosing the right products
- Help with optimizing the implementation of products
- Perform detailed bench work to breadboard and test solutions for customers
Requirements
- BSEE or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience in a sales engineering role
- AC-DC Power Conversion design experience
- Demonstrated magnetics design experience
- Working knowledge of EMI and Safety standards
- Ability and willingness to interface with customers on the telephone
- Ability to present Power Integrations product benefits to large and small groups
- Strong analytical and laboratory skills
Qualifications
- BSEE or equivalent; MSEE or equivalent preferred
- 5+ years’ experience in a sales engineering role
Nice to Have
- MSEE or equivalent
- Experience in one of the following end markets: UPS, Solid State Lighting, Metering, Appliances, Cell Phone chargers, Industrial controls, Notebook or PC Power Supplies
- Prior experience as an FAE for semiconductor products used in power conversion applications
