Senior Electrical Project Manager

About This Role

This Senior Project Manager will oversee and manage electrical construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring they are completed efficiently, on time, within budget, and to high standards of quality and safety. The role involves leading cross-functional teams, managing client relationships, and allocating resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical projects of varying sizes and complexity
• Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and budgets
• Monitor project progress and performance, making necessary adjustments
• Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and responsiveness
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements
• Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality work and addressing concerns proactively
• Allocate and manage project resources, including labor, equipment, and materials
• Oversee subcontractors and ensure adherence to project requirements and safety standards
• Identify and resolve resource constraints or conflicts
• Develop and monitor project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost control
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to maximize project profitability
• Promote a strong safety culture and enforce safety protocols on all project sites
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Maintain a focus on quality assurance, monitoring workmanship and materials
• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Implement risk management plans to minimize disruptions and delays
• Generate and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and project records
• Provide regular project updates to company leadership

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, regulations, and construction practices
• Strong leadership and project management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and best practices
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam, Procore, Plangrid)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
• 7+ years of Project Management experience with successful project completions in electrical construction, including projects of $10M+
