Senior Director, Product Management - Automotive Software

About This Role

Lead Qualcomm's Automotive business unit software partnering, ecosystem management, and software monetization activities. Define joint technical and commercial offerings for customers by identifying and working with established software partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead Qualcomm’s Automotive business unit software partnering, ecosystem management and software monetization activities
• Identify new and work with established SW partners who complement Qualcomm’s Automotive product offerings
• Define joint technical and commercial offerings for customers
• Work with Automotive SW Product Management and SW Engineering teams on software roadmaps
• Collect and prioritize product requirements, feature requests, and software products
• Generate business cases for proposed software products
• Own software products from cradle to grave, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
• Work with legal, contracts, engineering, and business support teams to ensure necessary agreements are in place

Requirements

• 10+ years of Product Management or related work experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of SW trends in the automotive industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
• 10+ years of Product Management or related work experience, with a preference for 15+ years.

Nice to Have

• 15+ years Product Management or related work experience
• 2+ years working with operating budgets and/or project financials
• 2+ years negotiating 3rd party business agreements
• 4+ years working in a large matrixed organization
• Ability to analyze and distill detailed data down to actionable product and business strategies
• Strong communication skills (written/verbal/presentation)
• Experience with embedded SW products including High-level and Real Time operating systems and frameworks
