Senior Control Engineer

About This Role

This Senior Control Engineer will apply their expertise in industrial automation to design, program, and test control systems for various applications, primarily within the industrial, manufacturing, and food processing sectors. The role involves ensuring compliance with industry standards and providing technical support.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of NEC, UL, NFPA, CSA, and CE standards to control system panel designs
• Write operating descriptions and related documentation for the controls and automation portion of systems
• Write PLC and HMI programs utilizing Rockwell / Allen-Bradley and Siemens products
• Configure automation networks, including Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, Profibus, Profinet, and Modbus
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing and configuration of control and automation systems
• Perform field site acceptance testing, which may involve travel to job sites for system integration
• Troubleshoot equipment operation issues possibly related to electrical design or programming

Requirements

• 4 years minimum experience in controls
• 2 years minimum experience with RSLogix 5000 programming
• 2 years minimum experience with FactoryTalk HMI development
• 4 years minimum experience in Controls Design
• 4 years minimum experience in PLC Programming
• Knowledge of NEC, UL, NFPA, CSA, and CE standards for control system panel designs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferred
• 4 years minimum experience, including specific experience in RSLogix 5000 programming, FactoryTalk HMI development, controls design, and PLC programming. Panel design and control system engineering experience strongly preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience in panel design and control system engineering
