This role involves performing compliance testing duties to support the Bank's Compliance Management Program, ensuring adherence to all banking rules, regulations, and statutory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain effective working knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance
- Develop and maintain accurate compliance test scripts to measure the effectiveness of the associated control environment
- Scope compliance testing activities to align with the Bank's Compliance Risk Assessment and corporate risk appetite
- Update compliance test scripts in response to regulatory updates and Supervisory guidance
- Identify sources of information required to conduct compliance testing
- Partner with process/data owners to validate data content
- Conduct meetings with business partners throughout the compliance testing lifecycle
- Provide feedback for updates to Policies, Program Standards, procedures, guidelines, training documents and other associated forms/documents
- Develop recommendations for updates to processes and systems that will minimize compliance risk, improve performance and productivity, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards
- Manage multiple assigned testing activities, creating documentation to evidence execution and risk mitigation
- Serve as resource for internal and external compliance inquiries, conducting research and providing support/guidance
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by researching regulatory changes, reading professional publications, attending educational workshops, establishing personal networks, benchmarking practices, and participating in professional societies
- Participate in any third party (OCC, VISA, etc.) audit requests pertaining to compliance
- Assess effectiveness of the implementation and execution of compliance controls
- Lead special projects and initiatives as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in banking industry
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Knowledge of existing and emerging bank regulations
- Knowledge of audit processes and compliance with required reporting
- Ability to analyze compliance procedures and standards
