This role is for a Manager of Carrier & Vendor Relations responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and developing strategic carrier and vendor partners across a nationwide 4PL network. You will collaborate with sales, operations, and leadership to support new business opportunities and strengthen supply chain capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Work with sales and operations to understand customer requirements and match them with carrier/vendor partners
- Manage the full vendor bid process: identify partners, gather pricing, analyze bids, negotiate rates, and support onboarding
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and vendors nationwide
- Develop standardized processes for procurement, vendor engagement, and bid management
- Partner with internal teams (business development, operations, technology, customer service) to ensure smooth implementation and ongoing service
Requirements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities
- Direct experience working with clients and carriers
- Strong customer service mindset
- Proven ability to collaborate across teams and build trusted vendor relationships
- High attention to detail and eagerness to learn
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, carrier management, procurement, customer service, pool distribution, and/or warehousing
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
