Senior Backend Engineer

About This Role

HuntingCube is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their technical leadership team, focusing on optimizing and hardening their core order management engine. This role involves developing new features for high-throughput distributed systems and expanding into new asset classes.

Responsibilities

• Harden the core order management engine
• Optimize Transactions Per Second (TPS)
• Develop new features for the platform
• Expand to new asset classes
• Build core trading strategies vis-à-vis retail order flow
• Work closely with founders and contribute to technical leadership

Requirements

• Expertise building real-time high-throughput systems at 99.9%+ uptime SLA
• Golang experience (or Rust or Python & C++)
• Experience building async queuing systems, batch processing, pub-sub architecture, websockets
• Database scalability & systems-level performance optimization
• Familiarity with infra-as-code in AWS (Terraform, Docker container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines)
• Ability to problem-solve from a solutions-first and product-first perspective
• Interest or prior experience in finance (trading, quant research, banking, brokerage, crypto exchange)

Qualifications

• B.Tech in CSE from top IITs with 9+ CGPA. Quantitative Developer from top HFTs of India.

Nice to Have

• DevOps/SRE experience, especially with Terraform + AWS Cloudwatch stack
