This role involves working directly with the Property Manager to maintain high service quality for commercial real estate portfolios, fostering positive tenant relationships, and ensuring compliance with lease agreements. It also includes assisting with administrative, financial, and operational aspects, preparing budgets, and seeking efficiencies to maximize profitability.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with Property Manager to maintain highest level of service and quality for the portfolio, staff, and clients
- Develop and foster positive working relationships with tenants, maintaining open communication
- Review and abstract leases to determine tenant and landlord responsibilities, and ensure compliance
- Assist in all administrative, financial, and operational aspects of the portfolio, including monthly review of operating statements and variance reporting
- Prepare annual budgets, operating expense escalations, and reconciliations
- Proactively minimize operating expenses, ensuring fiscal responsibility and meeting budget goals
- Review and approve A/P and miscellaneous tenant billings, oversee receivables, and monitor aging reports
- Suggest and establish new processes to improve organizational efficiencies and maximize profitability
Requirements
- Minimum of three years’ experience managing commercial real estate
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Acute attention to detail and accuracy with a high standard of excellence
- Problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of lease administration with the ability to accurately interpret terms and conditions
- Strong proficiency with Property Management/Accounting Software, Excel, and other Windows applications
- Knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and operational performance
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, follow-through, and accountability for results
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks or challenges
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years’ experience managing commercial real estate.
