About This Role

Lead and train an assembly team daily while manufacturing and assembling complex electrical and mechanical components, including prototypes. Test, verify, and troubleshoot components, and work with design and production to improve processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and train the assembly team daily
  • Manufacture and assemble complex electrical and mechanical components and assemblies, including first of a kind and prototype builds
  • Produce components with limited instruction according to design documentation
  • Test and verify components and assemblies using electrical testing and precision measurement equipment
  • Troubleshoot problems and make necessary adjustments to product and processes
  • Work with design and production personnel to improve assembly process
  • Perform I/O checks, troubleshoot and repair problems found during testing
  • Assemble a large variety of specialized electro-mechanical components and subsystems
  • Assemble electrical control panels, including point to point-to-point wiring
  • Conduct testing and validation of output following test procedures

Requirements

  • 5-10 plus years of electrical assembly experience, or similar experience from working in a technical environment
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, solid models, and bills of material
  • Ability to build and test with limited instructions
  • Proficient using computers for viewing and modifying documentation and general office use

Qualifications

  • 5-10 plus years of electrical assembly experience, or similar experience from working in a technical environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience creating assembly documentation and developing processes
  • Experience training personnel
  • Elevated level of competence in the use of various hand and power tools, fabrication skills
  • Experience in interacting with engineering personnel in a technical capacity
  • Familiarity with vacuum component handling and testing
  • Familiarity with safe lifting/rigging concepts
  • Flexibility to work various shifts
