The Senior Analyst, Global People Analytics and Workforce Planning strengthens Bain’s Global People Analytics (GPA) and Global Workforce Planning (WFP) teams by serving as a key analytics, reporting, and insights partner. This role involves partnering with stakeholders to translate needs into reporting requirements, dashboards, and data products, supporting strategic talent acquisition and workforce planning processes.
Responsibilities
- Support Talent Acquisition Visier product design & development, including defining reporting use cases, translating needs into dashboard requirements, and developing training materials.
- Drive alignment on recruiting processes, data definitions, and reporting methodology across regions and stakeholder groups.
- Independently collect reporting requirements, iterate with stakeholders on planned reports, and validate data accuracy and relevance.
- Support workforce planning team on data analysis and insights generation across key annual headcount cycles.
- Help answer critical business questions by providing relevant data and insights to the workforce planning team.
- Support the development of Workforce Planning reporting on recruiting fill rates, flexibility, and 'forward capacity'.
- Own end-to-end delivery of ad hoc requests for datasets and analyses, identifying information sources and employing creative data gathering approaches.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning analytics, tools, and methodologies, advising stakeholders on best practices.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience working with people data and/or HR systems
- Experience with enterprise analytics platforms (Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, Visier or other SQL-based systems)
- Experience with Excel for data analysis and management
- Strong analytic and critical thinking capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to use complex and interrelated data to generate insights
- Ability to synthesize analysis, recommend actions and prioritize next steps
- Demonstrated ability working with data analysis and business intelligence tools (such as Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI)
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and take initiative on multi-faceted projects/responsibilities
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with team members and supervisors in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficient in PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Solid organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in data analytics, workforce analytics, business intelligence, HR analytics, or similar roles
Nice to Have
- Degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or related fields
- Experience in professional services or a global matrixed organization
- Experience supporting Talent Acquisition, recruiting analytics, or workforce planning
- Knowledge of the Agile project methodology
- Demonstrated ability to translate requirements from stakeholders into user stories
