Security Assistant Shift Manager

About This Role

Supervise and manage daily security operations for a designated shift, ensuring adherence to security policies, guest satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. This role involves leading security officers, handling incidents, and maintaining property safety.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and manage daily operations of a designated Security shift
• Administer and manage operational goals, monitoring performance and profit objectives
• Adhere to scheduling and coordinate concerns with the manager, focusing on guest satisfaction
• Assist in the departmental budget process by providing recommendations and supporting compliance
• Promote and demonstrate superior customer service standards and ensure team adherence
• Serve as the Security Manager on duty in the absence of the Security Shift Manager
• Enforce internal control policies and procedures, including underage gambling and drinking laws
• Maintain safety and inspection reports for the property and conduct regular post inspections
• Prepare security incident reports and maintain security logs
• Respond to and resolve guest and employee concerns/complaints with professionalism
• Ensure security officers adhere to uniform dress and grooming standards
• Interact and cooperate with regulatory, fire/rescue, and law enforcement agencies
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements within area of responsibility

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of casino Security, military, or police experience, or equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
• Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues to resolve problems
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be at least 21 years of age

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 3 years of casino Security, military, or police experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
