Join our growing team as a Seasonal Tax Reviewer to assist offices nationwide during peak busy season. This role involves reviewing individual and entity tax returns and may include basic accounting services. It offers an opportunity to maintain skills, work flexible hours, and stay engaged in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Review individual and entity tax returns
- Frequently interface with client personnel to review and apply accounting and tax principles
- Contact clients by phone or email to gather necessary information
- Review files to ensure they possess necessary signatures, supporting documentation, and comply with filing due dates
- Obtain proper filing extensions when necessary
- Perform detailed review on tax returns, research, and compliance work with an emphasis on calculations, accounting theory, and tax law compliance
Requirements
- 2+ years of tax return review experience across all return types
- CPA or EA required
- Prior experience with a public accounting and/or professional services firm
Qualifications
- BA or higher degree in accounting Preferred
