Join the Discovery Neuroscience In Vivo Pharmacology group to identify and validate drug targets and facilitate drug transport over brain barriers. This role involves designing and implementing ex vivo analysis of tissue samples from in vivo studies for neuroscience projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement ex vivo analysis of tissue samples from in vivo studies testing multispecific biologics, small molecules, and siRNAs to support projects in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease
- Identify and solve technical problems independently
- Implement new assays and workflows
- Conceive and implement innovative research ideas
- Ensure consistency and quality of technical reports
- Present original work internally across departments
Requirements
- BS or equivalent education with typically 7 or more years of experience or MS or equivalent education with typically 5 or more years of experience
- Degree in Neuroscience, Biological Sciences, Pharmacology, or related discipline preferred
- Experience with ex vivo readouts including biochemistry (ELISA, WB), qPCR and immunohistochemistry
- Proven track record of working in multidisciplinary in vivo pharmacology teams
- Experience with in vivo models of neurodegeneration, particularly with models of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease
- Proven track record in characterizing complex biotherapeutics in vivo (biologics, small molecules, siRNA)
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple studies simultaneously
- Goal-oriented team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong can-do attitude
Qualifications
- BS or equivalent education or MS or equivalent education. Degree in Neuroscience, Biological Sciences, Pharmacology, or related discipline preferred.
- 7+ years experience with BS or 5+ years with MS.
Nice to Have
- Experience with digital PCR and MSD assays
- Experience with image analysis
