About This Role

The School Outreach Coordinator Volunteer will expand The STEAM Generation's reach across Georgia by building relationships with K-12 school administrators and educators. This role is crucial for connecting underserved schools with STEAM programs and coordinating on-campus workshops.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach to K-12 schools across Georgia, with a focus on underserved communities
  • Support scheduling and coordination of on-campus STEAM workshops with school contacts
  • Track communications and schedule details using shared project management tools
  • Maintain up-to-date records of contacts, schedules, and follow-up needs

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior volunteer, work, or internship experience
  • Located in Atlanta metro area
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong project management ability (volunteer or professional)
  • Comfortable working independently and proactively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior volunteer, work, or internship experience

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Georgia’s education system, especially Title I or underserved schools
  • Passionate about STEM education equity
  • Comfortable using Google suite of tools and Slack
