The School Outreach Coordinator Volunteer will expand The STEAM Generation's reach across Georgia by building relationships with K-12 school administrators and educators. This role is crucial for connecting underserved schools with STEAM programs and coordinating on-campus workshops.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outreach to K-12 schools across Georgia, with a focus on underserved communities
- Support scheduling and coordination of on-campus STEAM workshops with school contacts
- Track communications and schedule details using shared project management tools
- Maintain up-to-date records of contacts, schedules, and follow-up needs
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior volunteer, work, or internship experience
- Located in Atlanta metro area
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Strong project management ability (volunteer or professional)
- Comfortable working independently and proactively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior volunteer, work, or internship experience
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Georgia’s education system, especially Title I or underserved schools
- Passionate about STEM education equity
- Comfortable using Google suite of tools and Slack
