The School Operations Coordinator manages daily administrative tasks, ensures student record accuracy, coordinates school supplies, and supports campus events to maintain a professional and efficient school environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a neat, organized, clean, professional, and welcoming environment for visitors
- Carry out general administrative duties such as answering phones, updating transportation changes, and checking in students and visitors
- Accurately manage daily attendance, updating systems and making calls to families for absent students
- Update and maintain cumulative student records, ensuring confidentiality and responding to transfer requests
- Assist with new student enrollment and registration, both in person and by phone and e-mail
- Ensure systems are in place to provide staff with necessary supplies and manage inventory and orders
- Attend first aid and CPR training and respond as needed, also maintaining security procedures
- Support the AP of Operations with planning and execution of all on-campus events and field trips
- Improve and implement systems that contribute and drive school operations toward operational excellence
- Complete off campus errands as needed and assigned by the school leader and/or AP of Operations
Requirements
- Associate's degree
- High level of comfort with Microsoft Office
- High level of comfort with Google Suite
- Comfortable sitting at the front desk using office equipment, computers, entering data, answering phone calls, and greeting visitors for an extended period of time
- Comfortable with walking up and down stairs and through school hallways
- Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment; flexible, willing to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Professional, friendly, and adaptable personality; team player who is open to feedback
- Ability to tackle multiple projects and initiatives at once with a strong sense of prioritization
Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- 1 to 3 years in a classroom or school setting OR 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in a front office position is highly preferred, but not strictly required for entry level
Nice to Have
- Experience in education
- 1 to 3 years in a classroom or school setting (paraprofessional, substitute, front office, etc.)
- 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in a front office position (secretary, office coordinator and/or manager)
