About This Role

This role is responsible for driving sales and profitability within an assigned territory, focusing on independent accounts and company-branded products. The ideal candidate will also support customer service activities to enhance market presence and maximize share.

Responsibilities

  • Generate additional business by analyzing sales territory and individual customers
  • Sample products with existing and potential customers
  • Plan general sales strategy, including time and territory management
  • Plan sales approach with individual customers and conduct effective sales presentations
  • Grow sales and profit margins on an ongoing basis to meet established goals
  • Set up new customer accounts, determining pricing and coordinating with credit and other departments
  • Perform initial follow-up with customers to ensure delivery and product satisfaction
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing exemplary service and coordinating with personnel to resolve problems
  • Build additional business with current customers through product penetration to maximize account profitability
  • Minimize accounts receivable problems by monitoring compliance with credit terms and following up on issues

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 6-12 months sales/marketing and/or restaurant experience
  • Valid Drivers License
