This role is responsible for driving sales and profitability within an assigned territory, focusing on independent accounts and company-branded products. The ideal candidate will also support customer service activities to enhance market presence and maximize share.
Responsibilities
- Generate additional business by analyzing sales territory and individual customers
- Sample products with existing and potential customers
- Plan general sales strategy, including time and territory management
- Plan sales approach with individual customers and conduct effective sales presentations
- Grow sales and profit margins on an ongoing basis to meet established goals
- Set up new customer accounts, determining pricing and coordinating with credit and other departments
- Perform initial follow-up with customers to ensure delivery and product satisfaction
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing exemplary service and coordinating with personnel to resolve problems
- Build additional business with current customers through product penetration to maximize account profitability
- Minimize accounts receivable problems by monitoring compliance with credit terms and following up on issues
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- 6-12 months sales/marketing and/or restaurant experience
- Valid Drivers License
