About This Role

Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience at Talbots, promoting products and building brand relationships. This role supports the management team in building store business and achieving sales metrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes the product and builds brand relationships
• Assist the management team to build store business
• Service multiple customers at a time, multi-task and handle projects simultaneously
• Stay aware of fashion trends and new arrivals, including product knowledge about fit, color, and fashion
• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits for customers and suggest items to match their needs
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships for a productive work environment
• Communicate store information, brand initiatives, discrepancies, and pertinent information to management
• Achieve sales and service metrics in key measurable areas, including Talbots Classic Awards
• Support all areas of operational excellence, including managing inventory and store recovery
• Plan and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet customer and business needs
• Lead/supervise others on occasion and open/close the store
• Seek to understand customer needs and wants through intentional conversation

• Able to bend, reach, stretch for product, lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs
• Technological aptitude to navigate POS/computer/iPad/handheld systems
• Flexible availability based on business needs including evenings, weekends, and holidays
