Implement, administer, and maintain health, safety, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with occupational health and safety legislation, CAM EHS standards, and customer safety requirements at a client site. Lead the implementation and monitoring of these programs, conduct inspections, and foster a strong safety culture within maintenance operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and monitoring of health and safety programs, policies, and procedures
- Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
- Establish and track key leading and lagging safety indicators and report regularly to the Leadership Team
- Develop action plans based on safety indicators, including focus audits, monthly campaigns, and training
- Serve as a resource for EHS-related questions and ensure site leadership actively participates in incident investigations
- Participate in and assist with incident investigations, reviews, and corrective action planning
- Ensure timely completion of incident and safety reports, including tracking of lessons learned and corrective actions
- Identify opportunities for recognizing positive safety performance at individual, group, and milestone levels
- Work closely with customer EHS and leadership personnel to foster a strong safety partnership
- Directly oversee Site EHS Advisors, ensuring a balance of office and field presence (approximately 25% office, 75% field)
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in EHS roles within maintenance, industrial, construction, or oil & gas environments
- Strong knowledge of legislation, safety programs, and regulatory requirements
- Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Ability to work hands-on in the field, ensuring real-time safety compliance and engagement
- Strong communication and leadership skills to influence and support maintenance personnel and supervisors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management systems
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in EHS roles within maintenance, industrial, construction, or oil & gas environments
