Safety Manager - Turnaround

About This Role

Implement, administer, and maintain health, safety, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with occupational health and safety legislation, CAM EHS standards, and customer safety requirements at a client site. Lead the implementation and monitoring of these programs, conduct inspections, and foster a strong safety culture within maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and monitoring of health and safety programs, policies, and procedures
• Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments, ensuring corrective actions are implemented
• Establish and track key leading and lagging safety indicators and report regularly to the Leadership Team
• Develop action plans based on safety indicators, including focus audits, monthly campaigns, and training
• Serve as a resource for EHS-related questions and ensure site leadership actively participates in incident investigations
• Participate in and assist with incident investigations, reviews, and corrective action planning
• Ensure timely completion of incident and safety reports, including tracking of lessons learned and corrective actions
• Identify opportunities for recognizing positive safety performance at individual, group, and milestone levels
• Work closely with customer EHS and leadership personnel to foster a strong safety partnership
• Directly oversee Site EHS Advisors, ensuring a balance of office and field presence (approximately 25% office, 75% field)

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in EHS roles within maintenance, industrial, construction, or oil & gas environments
• Strong knowledge of legislation, safety programs, and regulatory requirements
• Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Ability to work hands-on in the field, ensuring real-time safety compliance and engagement
• Strong communication and leadership skills to influence and support maintenance personnel and supervisors
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management systems

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in EHS roles within maintenance, industrial, construction, or oil & gas environments
