Lead and oversee multiple commercial and residential multi-unit rough carpentry projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality standards. This role requires technical expertise in rough carpentry methods and strong project management leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee multiple commercial rough carpentry projects simultaneously
- Ensure strict adherence to project schedules, budgets, manpower allocations, blueprint revisions, change order pricing, and quality benchmarks
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating activities across internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Conduct regular site visits to assess conditions, monitor progress, ensure production efficiency, and maintain profitability
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards
- Communicate proactively with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing updates and resolving issues
- Track and manage all project financials, including budgets, expenses, and forecasts
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Provide clear direction and leadership to project teams, subcontractors, and field staff
- Implement quality control processes to maintain exceptional standards of workmanship
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of proven project management experience in commercial, residential, and multi-unit rough carpentry
- Strong expertise in wood framing and rough carpentry techniques
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and teams effectively
- Proficiency in construction estimating and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Procore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, Quick Bid)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to negotiate and build lasting client relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or minimum 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
- Minimum 10 years of proven project management experience in commercial, residential, and multi-unit rough carpentry
