Robotic Technician

About This Role

This role involves operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting industrial FANUC robotic welding systems to ensure consistent and reliable performance, and supporting process improvement by optimizing cycle times and enhancing system reliability. The technician will also be responsible for programming, inspecting weld quality, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor robotic welding systems to ensure consistent, reliable performance
• Prepare and complete production jobs by properly loading and unloading fixtures and components
• Inspect weld quality, identify defects, and remove spatter using tools such as chisels, grinders, and other finishing equipment
• Upload welding programs, manage file transfers, and resolve robot fault conditions as they arise
• Apply correct welding parameters, procedures, and operational settings to achieve high-quality welds
• Troubleshoot robotic systems, sensors, welding equipment, and related automation components
• Improve process efficiency by optimizing cycle times, reducing downtime, and enhancing overall system reliability
• Maintain accurate documentation including backups, change logs, weld settings, and system configurations
• Work closely with mechanical and industrial engineers to support system design, integration, and continuous improvement
• Adhere to company safety standards and maintain safe work practices in every task

Requirements

• Solid mechanical skills
• Able to produce strong, precise welds
• Good hand-eye coordination with strong attention to detail

Nice to Have

• Experience with FANUC robotic systems
