This role involves managing individualized patient care through the full nursing process, providing direct patient care, and collaborating with a treatment team. The Registered Nurse will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient health.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate care in collaboration with members of the patient’s treatment team to provide assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation services
- Perform physical exams, health histories, nursing assessment and routine observation for patients within established time frames
- Provide direct patient care including administering medications, wound care, injections, intravenous infusions and other treatment interventions
- Operate standard critical care equipment safely and correctly
- Recognize and intervene in life threatening emergencies, including the administration of emergency drugs, and defibrillator or other emergency treatment
- Document patient assessment findings, care rendered, procedures performed, and other various aspects of patient plan of care
- Make periodic updates related to the patient’s condition and response to treatment
- Provide patient and family health education based on assessed needs for indicated health conditions, medications, overall wellness, and directions for follow up care
- Adhere to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and quality control methods
Requirements
- Associates degree in nursing
- Florida RN license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Must live within 45 minutes of Flagler Hospital
- Willingness to take call
- Commitment to a 2 year employment contract
