RN Graduate OR Circulator

About This Role

This role is for a Graduate Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, providing basic nursing care under direct supervision as new nurses transition into professional practice. The individual will deliver patient care, administer treatments, and support patient education while assisting the surgical team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, collaborating with experienced RNs and healthcare teams
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with protocols
• Perform patient assessments, documenting vital signs, patient responses, and changes in condition promptly in the EMR
• Provide patient and family education regarding basic care, procedures, and treatment plans
• Support patient mobility, personal hygiene, and daily living activities, maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, reporting changes in patient conditions to supervising RNs
• Adhere to infection control protocols, patient safety guidelines, and hospital policies
• Provide comprehensive care to patients before, during, and after surgery, including assessments, planning, and evaluation of nursing care
• Scrub in for surgeries, assisting the surgical team with instruments and supplies, and ensuring a sterile environment
• Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and observe for changes in patient condition

Requirements

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
• RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
• BCLS - Basic Life Support

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
