Lead and manage all nursing services for a long-term care facility, ensuring compliance with regulations, overseeing staff, and maintaining high-quality resident care. This role involves recruiting, training, and mentoring nursing personnel.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all nursing services in accordance with company, state, and federal guidelines
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance of nursing staff
- Assist on the floor when needed to maintain consistent, high-quality care
- Approve payroll submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Monitor resident records for accuracy and appropriate documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans
- Ensure nursing staff have timely access to equipment and necessary supplies
- Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff to improve performance and outcomes
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the State of Texas
- Proven leadership experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing
- Strong clinical skills and a restorative care approach
- Knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
