RN - Critical Care

About This Role

This role involves providing critical care to patients with severe, unstable, or life-threatening conditions, requiring rapid assessment, monitoring, and intervention with life-support systems and advanced medical equipment. The RN will collaborate with healthcare professionals and educate patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess patient conditions, including vital signs and other physiological parameters, and intervene with appropriate care
• Monitor and provide care to patients with critically ill, unstable, and/or life-threatening conditions
• Manage various life-support systems like ventilation and heart-monitoring
• Participate in rapid response and other emergency situations
• Administer medications and other treatments
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and their families about the patient's condition and care plan

Requirements

• ADN or higher degree in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• Ability to function effectively under stress
• Experience with advanced medical equipment and procedures
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skill
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• ADN or higher degree in nursing
• 1+ years of experience in a critical care unit (ICU) preferred
