Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a diverse adult patient population within a 50-bed Cardiac Progressive Care Unit, including patients requiring advanced monitoring and elevated care levels.
Responsibilities
- Assess nursing care for an identified group of patients
- Plan nursing care for an identified group of patients
- Implement nursing care for an identified group of patients
- Evaluate nursing care for an identified group of patients
- Demonstrate competency in delivery of care to a primarily adult population
- Obtain specialized skills to care for complex cardiac patients
- Become ACLS trained within 1 year of hire
Requirements
- Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent within 90 days of hire
- AHA HeartCode Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers or an AHA approved equivalent within 1 year of hire
Qualifications
- Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing
- Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to area of employment.

- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred
