RN, Cardiac Progressive Care

About This Role

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a diverse adult patient population within a 50-bed Cardiac Progressive Care Unit, including patients requiring advanced monitoring and elevated care levels.

Responsibilities

• Assess nursing care for an identified group of patients
• Plan nursing care for an identified group of patients
• Implement nursing care for an identified group of patients
• Evaluate nursing care for an identified group of patients
• Demonstrate competency in delivery of care to a primarily adult population
• Obtain specialized skills to care for complex cardiac patients
• Become ACLS trained within 1 year of hire

Requirements

• Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent within 90 days of hire
• AHA HeartCode Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers or an AHA approved equivalent within 1 year of hire

Qualifications

• Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing
• Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to area of employment.
